Claire Gourley

Introducing Claire, an equestrian enthusiast with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the equine industry! Claire's journey with horses began at a young age when she learned to ride at a local riding centre. As she gained more knowledge, she dedicated her time as a volunteer, immersing herself in the equestrian world and learning invaluable skills.

Claire's passion for ponies led her to compete in local showing and showjumping leagues, further honing her riding abilities. After leaving school, her focus shifted to expanding her knowledge of horses and the equine industry. She pursued a qualification in equine science and nutrition, where she not only deepened her understanding but also excelled in her riding skills.

Throughout the years, Claire has owned her own horses and even taken on the challenge of retraining ex-racehorses. She now has a promising partnership with a wonderful young horse, with the ultimate goal to compete BD at the highest national level. However, Claire’s true passion lies in the training, and building the best possible partnership between rider and horse, with a keen interest in horsemanship focussing on confidence and relaxation.

To continuously enhance her expertise, Claire actively participates in local and online seminars conducted by professionals such as vets, physios, nutritionalists, and the BHS. Claire approaches every opportunity with an open mind and an insatiable hunger for knowledge.
