Ginnie
and Will Turnbull
from Tanglewood Farm Stables ride 7 days a week, often riding 8 or 9 horses a day.
Will
needed a saddle that he felt confident in, a saddle that would help him to stay onboard in every eventuality. Working closely with Sue, together they came up with a design that had all the features and safety requirements that Will desired.
When Will is backing a young horse, often unpredictable and uncooperative, their airs above the ground make staying secure the highest priority. The saddle was designed around Will's physique and safety requirements, with a few extra added features to enable him to use other pieces of equipment as necessary.
For the more tricky horses that Will breaks, he has a partner, affectionately known as 'Stig'
Stig needed to be safely and securely attached to the saddle, all possible because of the extra few clips and D's that have been added, but safely out of the way to avoid interference when riding.
Wills saddle has also had numerous girthing options attached so that Will can balance it for each horse that he trains, making the saddle as secure as it can be.
Not only is this saddle highly functional but it also looks great.
Ginnie
needed a saddle that she too felt confident in. Ginnie's petite stature and light weight frame made her requirements very different to Wills.
Ginnie is out competing every week on young horses, bringing them up through the ranks and training them every day. Ginnie needs to be able to jump, school and cross-country in her saddle so needs the ability to move with out compromising her stability.
Ginnies saddle offers her all of these things, and Ginnie is delighted with how comfortable she feels in her saddle, plus she loves the colour and finish she opted for.
She also has a range of girthing options on her saddle to improve the stability of the saddle on different horses.
Both saddles have a more traditional appearance, however they can be made to any requirement or taste.
